We are pleased to let you know that we have secured the Weston Favell School again for our 2012 exhibition. Also, we are having the show in July, which appears to be popular with the public,exhibitors and the trade alike. This years was very successful, with improved numbers attending, compared to the previous show in 2010.

We are hoping to have around 30 layouts and 12 traders attending again, which we think is excellent value.

Last year the show was opened by the Mayor of Northampton, and for the 2012 show we are hoping to invite another important person to do the honours for us.

At present we do not have an exhibition manager, but the Club’s committee will be handling the organisation of the show. If you wish to attend as an exhibitor or trader, please let us know as soon as possible,

Finally, we are a friendly club, and we do hope to see all our old friends at the 2012 show, and maybe make some new ones!

A special vote of thanks must go to the 2011 exhibition manager Stephen Lloyd for all his hard work which ensured this success. Everyone seemed to agree that they had a great time and most people seem to want to come again to next years show. The opening of the show by the mayor and his sister the mayoress made for a great start to the show, and when BBC Northants Radio arrived, it really put the icing on the cake. Our show was the first clue in a treasure hunt that they do every Saturday morning, and we have to thank our secretary Richard Deacon for organising that. I conducted the Mayor and Mayoress around the show and they were very impressed with the size and the quality of the show. Parking is usually a problem at large shows like ours and I want to thank those who selflessly looked after that task during the day. The club would also like to thank all the exhibitors and traders who supported the show this year. It can be a very long day, and the travelling can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare. The catering at the show was excellent and I would like to thank all the ladies who assisted with this on the day. We have agreed that this was the most successful show so far and are hoping that 2012 will be even better. I think that all active club members, who’s input into the show was greatly appreciated, should give themselves a pat on the back for a job well done.
